At Alpha Omega Center we believe that every mother has the right to love and support during an unexpected pregnancy. God loves our clients, and we want them to see His love through us. At every opportunity we offer to pray with our clients, offer them a free Bible, and offer them the Gospel. We offer this love and support, an ultrasound scan, options information, and referrals to local resources to families in need in our communities.

After seeing her baby on an ultrasound scan and hearing about her options, over 95% of our at-risk mothers choose life for their unborn children! In 2018, 63 babies were saved from abortion.

 

In addition to offering pregnancy tests and ultrasound scans, Alpha Omega Center offers free STD testing and treatment. This service allows us to meet with individuals engaging in risky sexual behavior, educate them about healthy relationships, and screen for serious issues like sex trafficking and domestic violence.

 

Does it work? Yes, many clients that come for STD testing and treatment leave with a Bible and the knowledge that God loves them!

While we offer education about birth control and how it functions, we do not dispense or recommend birth control.

 

Dr. Mary Tanyel, our medical director, oversees our medical services.  She is responsible for all of our medical information and also for overseeing the training of our Nurse Manager and nurse volunteers. She works closely with staff to ensure that we are operating in accordance with best practices and applicable laws.

 

An ultrasound in early pregnancy confirms that the pregnancy is viable and intrauterine. Without this confirmation a mother could have a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy or could have already experienced a miscarriage without knowing it.

 

When a woman calls inquiring about abortion we tell her that Alpha Omega Center does not perform or refer for abortions, and educate her about her need for ultrasound.  When she comes in for her appointment we have the opportunity to give her honest information, support, and resources.

 

By offering ultrasounds and having Christian doctors and nurses on staff, we are able to minister to young women in our area who desperately need the truth, love, and hope that Christ brings. This also opens the door to allow us to share the Gospel, pray with them, and give them a Bible.
